Life rarely looks the way we thought it would. Mine certainly has not. But through every unexpected season, I have learned that grace has a way of meeting us right in the middle of it.

I am a wife, mom, teacher, former foster mom, and special needs sibling. I have walked beside my husband through cancer, parented children with complex medical and neurodiverse needs, and been deeply shaped by transracial adoption. Our story has included hospital rooms, school struggles, hard conversations, fierce advocacy, plenty of laughter, and more prayers than I could ever count.

For more than 20 years, I have moved between the classroom and staying home as the needs of my family changed. I have taught every preschool age level in private schools, as well as kindergarten and third grade. Today, two of our children attend public school and one attends a Christian school. All of it has shaped the way I see children, families, education, faith, and what really matters.

Grace in the Disarray grew from those experiences.

This is a place where faith and real life can exist together. You will find encouragement for the complicated parts of motherhood and family life, honest conversations about adoption and neurodiversity, and practical curriculum and classroom resources created from years of teaching experience.

I do not believe grace is found only when life feels peaceful or put together. I believe God meets us right in the middle of the messy, unexpected, beautiful life we are actually living.
