ADHD Awareness Month: Understanding What We Don’t Always See

ADHD is so much more than a behavioral challenge. It's a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how children learn, respond, and navigate everyday life. As both a mom and an educator, I'm learning to look beyond the behavior, recognize the struggles we don't always see, and balance expectations with understanding, patience, and a whole lot of grace.

A Glimpse of Resurrection

After a long, dark winter, Easter always reminds me that new life is closer than it seems. This year, that truth has taken on new meaning as I reflect on faith, motherhood, and the quiet work of grace.

To Riches

Our journey to welcome our son was long, stretching our faith and patience, yet revealing just how deep the Father’s love truly runs. After walking through delayed conception, cancer, and loss, God led us into foster care, where, against all odds, a 10-day-old baby entered our lives on a day already etched in our family’s story. His arrival brought healing and hope, a reminder that even in grief, God is still creating beauty from ashes.

From Ashes

Our story began with young love, big dreams, and the hope of a growing family, but seasons of waiting, an unexpected cancer diagnosis, and deep heartache brought us to our knees. In the midst of pain and uncertainty, we discovered a faith that anchors the soul and grace that carries us one day at a time. What we once saw as the end of our story, God transformed into the beginning of something beautiful.
